Daniel Usuanlele is a 15 year old boy who has been battling with heart problem and he is in need of a heart transplant.
Usuanlel has been out of school for over a year due to his health condition. He wishes to live like other kids, but the terrible heart disease has deprived him of it.
His family members have been looking for N8million to get him a new heart for more than seven months now and they are yet to gather half of the money.
"I have a heart problem, I have a disease called cardiomyopathy," Usuanlele says in a video.
"They have referred me to travel abroad to do a heart transplant.
"Please, I need your help and the help of everyone to raise money to get, to travel and do the heart transplant. Everyone I want you to please help me."
He is due for travel, but the inability to raise money has delayed his travel for months.
The family disclosed that Daniel has been using the little money they got from family and friends to buy drugs. The drug is sustaining him till they are able to get the money for his treatment abroad.
Friends of the boy have sent different messages online to get support, but it is still not enough.
"As humans who have feelings and because we serve humanity, I am begging, pleading desperately for us to come through and support my friend's junior brother." Gbenga, a friend of the family broadcasted this message on WhatsApp.
Messages like this one had been broadcasted on the social platform, but the family is yet to get the money to treat Daniel.
They have also written to some non-governmental organizations, but they are yet to get support for the young Usuanlele.
Though, local religious organizations have contributed money for his treatment, part of which he is using to buy drugs.
Daniel Usuanlele is calling on individuals, NGO's and cooperate organizations to help him.
